EVENTS PROGRAMME
2026

July 4-5th   Bonchurch “open gardens”, 13.00 to 17.00.  Our research has provided an excellent opportunity to understand more about the cluster of small marine villas in Bonchurch, a holiday and second home destination from the early Victorian period onwards and particularly attractive to writers.  Many of the picturesque of the Neo-Gothic villas are listed buildings and their gardens also pay homage to the Picturesque, utilising the natural beauty of the Undercliff and rock outcrops to good effect. See https://www.bonchurchvillage.co.uk/open-gardens.
